Days Of Starvation

from Funeral Impressions by Restless

lyrics

The moon was full after three months of starvation.
My wife died the last night, my son and I were left alone.
He was so skinny and pale, and the only thing I could do to save him,
Was to cook his mother and serve her to the dinner.

The night was dark and the fire strong.
Together around the massive table we were eating part of our own heart.
In our mouths her cheeks were so delightful.
We had enough meat for a week, until I find a new corpse.

In the silence of these mourning days,
I have taken a decision to save my son.
We lived near a village where everybody suffered from starvation,
The people was weak and desesperate

The moon was hidden by clouds, and no stars shone.
I went out into the night to hunt, between the shadows.
A child wept for his dead father in the street, holding his corpse.
It was my first kill, first of a long series, to survive, for my son.

My son I will be there for you, don't fear the hunger.
My son, the winter is cruel with us, but don't forget, I love you.
